Willow Rogers has been passionate about hockey since she was eight years old and begged her parents to play for the Meadow Beach Jets. After years of toxicity from her teammates, she escapes to Lakewood University for her senior year with the hope of winning the Frozen Four. However, the move places her on a collision course with her best friend's brother, Jayden Allen.

Jayden Allen lives and breathes hockey. Ever since his seventh birthday, when his parents took him ice skating for the first time. After years of hard work and dedication, he is on track to play professionally once he graduates. All he needs to do is remain in control and lead the Lakewood Hawks to a Frozen Four victory. 

The rivalry and hatred between Willow and Jayden has been brewing for the years, beginning when they were merely teenagers. Willow’s reckless streak and Jayden’s need for control clash at every turn, yet they soon find the line separating loathing and lust is flimsy and easily blurred. 

It was only meant to be a meaningless fling to relieve tension because with scars etched into their hearts, both are terrified to fall in love again.
